As an employee in the commercial sector, at AKAD Business you can find (almost) all the further training courses you need, the majority of them working towards passing Swiss national professional exams and advanced qualifying exams, and entry to higher vocational colleges. AKAD College facilitates admission to universities and colleges of higher education: as well as the traditional academic secondary school qualifications, we offer bridging courses (supplementary exams for vocational secondary school qualifications) and individual, tailored preparatory courses for college entry.

AKAD Language+Culture

AKAD Language+Culture offers courses in Arabic, Chinese, German, English, French, Greece, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Spanish, Thai, Czech and Turkish, along with further languages upon application – we have more than 300 language courses. Many of these courses prepare learners for accredited language diplomas.

AKAD Language+Culture guides foreign-language learners from the very first words to mastery of their chosen language, bringing them efficiently and confidently to their educational goal.

You can choose between guided self-study courses, or a combined programme of guided self-study and classroom lessons (in groups or private lessons) at a total of eight locations around Switzerland. The wide range of programmes offers a course that is suitable for virtually every need. Cultural training sessions supplement the conventional language courses. Companies, institutions and private individuals benefit from this varied offer.

AKAD Profession

The range of courses offered by AKAD Profession is aimed at teenagers and adults who are completing a basic commercial qualification (business diploma, trade diploma, certificate of commercial proficiency) or who wish to obtain their professional qualification certificate. The training courses offered provide a good basis for later study.

Why learn?

The level of education in Switzerland is climbing steadily. In 2009, 35 per cent of the Swiss population had a university degree or a higher vocational training qualification. Within the next 15 years, this figure is forecast to rise to more than 50 per cent. For employees, it is increasingly important to keep up with this development, to enhance and maintain your own market value.
